From the Home screen select Restore Select Search for backups Note: This may take a while depending on the size of the backup but you will want to let it run until complete so all the backup dates will be available.
Next you will be asked to Select File - Select the date you wish to restore from and then select the data you are wanting to restore. Video thumbnails - This feature will generate thumbnails for videos that do not currently have a thumbnail. LEDs - Allows you to control the drive lights. Drive test- Will make sure that the drive is functioning correctly. Power - Will allow the drive to go into power saving mode after being inactive. Seagate Central helps you organize and access your digital life in one location. Choose Copy. The file or folder is now copied and held in the computer's short-term memory. Double-click on the external drive. The window will change to a display of the contents of the external drive. On the top bar of the window, choose Edit. Alternatively, you may right-click on blank space within the window and a drop-down menu will appear.
Choose Paste. The file or folder will appear inside the window. It is copied. This is known as a "copy-and-paste" action. Using the drive with Mac: For Mac you will need to reformat the drive prior to using it. Once complete, the drive should be detected allowing you to manually move files to the drive or set it up with Time Machine automatic backup.
